AUGUST NEWS

The new school year is about to begin are children are excited. Classes will change beginning August 9th.

Fall Registration:

¨     There is a $40 annual curriculum fee for each child. This is due by September 1, 2010. This covers the start up for the published curriculum and teacher supplies for the year. Older children will receive “Scholastic News” or “Clifford” papers each month,

¨     School age children have a $20 annual fee for the school year. This is due by September 1, 2010. Another $20 is due in May for the summer, if your child comes during the summer.  This fee covers teaching supplies and equipment.

¨     All children must complete a new information card for the teacher and office and up-dated information paper.

¨     All children must complete a new form for the Food Program. The new fiscal year begins in October for the food program and this requires a different color form. This will be completed when we receive the forms from the state.

¨     All children must have a current Blue Form on file. 

Extra classes for the fall for 3’ & 4’s

Computer class: “Small Bytes” from Anniston will come each week. Classes usually  begin in September after Labor Day. * Laptop Computers, *Age –appropriate lessons, * small classes, *fun & educational software. The class will last 35 minutes. This is billed through the company not the daycare. 

Tumblebus: The “Tumblebus” program is designed for all children 18 months and older. The bus is transformed into a gym made for tumbling and climbing.

The bus will come once a week in the morning. The price information has not been announced at this time. This is billed through the company not the daycare. 

ALL CHILDREN MUST BE SIGNED IN & OUT EACH DAY! This is a requirement for DHR and for the Food Program. The food program is determined by the attendance. If your child is not properly signed in & out for the day...we cannot receive credit for your child’s meals for the day.

$$$ Enrollment Incentive $$$...If anyone enrolls a child or children from a parent referral the parent will receive one-week free tuition for their child. The child or children must have been enrolled for at least one month in order to get the free week. Make sure the new person mentions you at registration.

Things to remember:

¨     All children must have 2 cot covers

¨     Check the teacher supply list

¨     ALL CHILDREN NEED EXTRA WIPES FOR CLASS ACTIVITES!!!

¨     Do not bring over sized blankets, sleeping bags and large pillows. We do not have storage space for these items.

¨     All children must have an extra set of clothes

¨     NO TOYS !!! They just cause problems in sharing!!!

¨     Do not park in the middle of the drive through

¨     Do not park in the drive through if you stay long inside

¨     SIGN IN & OUT EACH DAY

We are going to have a super year at Brentwood this school year. The teachers are working hard to get things ready in the classrooms for the children.
